Her white Citi Golf whizzes past me as I drive down Cape Road. She was pretty cute, and I’m dying to get a better look just to make sure. In general I’m pretty laidback behind the wheel but, in the interests of satisfying my curiosity, I press down on my accelerator to catch up with her car. My level of intrigue rises as I read her bumper sticker, flaunting itself to whomever may be tailing her:

Sunday Soul FoodWhen people ask me to describe myself, “outdoorsy” is one of the words that come to mind, problem is that I’m packing 10 kilo’s too much and so “Amstel brand ambassador” would probably be closer to the truth. Until recently! Mates of mine bought me the most gorgeous little Alsation cross Border Collie girly dog and she’s just not into Super 14 on the couch with a few beers. A whole bunch of chewed up furniture and clothing is motivation enough to become that “outdoorsy” guy I’ve always liked to see myself as and the Sacramento Trail has proved to be an absolute Godsend in terms of practical destinations that facilitate everything a new “father” needs to keep a hound happy whilst losing those irksome kilo’s around the waist.
